I'm new to this forum, so bear with me. I am looking for a mid priced scope for a 22-250. I would like a variable powered one but since my pocketbook is limited I would like to purchase the best scope in my price range of $300 to $400. I am considering the following scopes:
Nikon 6-18 x 40 Buckmaster Weaver 6-20 x 40 Grand Slam Sightron 6.5-20 x 50 SS II Alpen 6-24 X 50 Apex Can anyone give me their opinions on the above scopes or even suggest one that's not on my list. Thanks in advance for the help. Fred |

1. Bushnell 5-15x50 Elite 3200 $328.95 multi x, 5” shade
2. Bushnell 5-15x40 Elite 3200 $338.95 fire fly 5” shade 3. Burris Fullfield II Tac (Olive Drab) 4.5x14-42 “Ballistic Plex”, 1”, $377.95 4. Burris Signature Select 4-16x44 “Ballistic Plex”, 1”, Adjustable Objective $438.95 You didn't say what you were going to shoot at or at what ranges, but unless you are trying to throw down on prarie dogs at 1000m a lower power scope should work well and save you some money. 4 to 6 power by 14 to 18 power supposedly works great for varmint ranges that a 22-250 is used for. Thanks for the help people. I have made my purchase and ordered a Nikon Buckmaster 6-18 with a TD reticle. I'll let you all know how it works out.
