Several questions need be answered first. The amount of money you are willing to part with. What time of the day will your shooting take place, benchrest the only shooting you will due?,will you limit youself to under 300yds. You can get a Weaver 24power or a 36power,if you are only going to shoot out to 200 yds a Bushnell elite 6500 2.5-16x50 has a good choice or a SWFA  SS 10x.Vortex 6.5-20 is another good selection.
I'm sure people with alot more knowledge than I have will join in.....Hope this helped!

Best scope for a .22 is a March at least that's what I'm being told by my friends who do 1k bench shooting.Be ready to dig real deep for the cost of this scope.

Agreed. Too many things come to mind to answer that question. Besides, "best" doesn't really exist...lol.

It is my personal understanding/preference that Target guns require Target scopes. Another thing...Great guns deserve Great glass and the sky is the limit when it comes to Rifle/Scope relationship. If I had a .22 target rifle, I'd be putting either Nikko Stirling target scope, Leupold EFR Target, or one of the high power Bushnell Elites.
