My budget is 500$ for my scope. My shots will be 150 yards or less and my target is the coyote.I would appreciate your advice.

Thanks

This Zeiss would fit the bill and leave plenty for rings and a box of shells.
Just Curious what rifle have you chosen?

How about the Weaver super slam euro 4x20-50? A bit over kill but if you want to reach out further, you would have that option and still in the price range.

Most of my coyote guns have 1x4x20mm (combo and drilling) and 1.5x6x40mm (bolt guns 22-204, 6x45mm and 6mm-204).  I find FOV far more important than X's for calling coyotes.  I prefer to have a min of a 40' FOV on the bottom end as coyotes even in seemingly open country can end up very close before you see them.

I do keep a 22-250 set up with a 2.5x10x40mm for open country, both times I took it out this season I killed coyotes under 40 yards.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I couldn't find and edit option for the post above.

Coyotes are a pretty large target and even the smaller variable I have no problems with coyotes out to 300 yards with them.

Now PD and GS that's a different story, I need X's on the top end to see their little heads sticking up out of the hole.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I have a 4.5-14 on a sporter weight coyote gun. I would tend to lean towards a bit less on the lower power. If in low light and cover, look to at least a 40mm objective a good reticle like the VXR or a 4A.
