Had a CZ in a Hornet and 223, the accuracy is not up to par with either Remington or Savage. If you want a walking Varmiter get the Savage (unless you can spring for a Cooper) with the plastic stock and Accu trigger only weighs about 4 lbs with scope, and shoot great. I use a 4X12 Nikon on mine in 223. If you are going to fire form from 222Mag. brass, seat your bullets as far out as possible, to hold the rear of the case against the bolt, this will minimize case stretching on fire forming. If you don't a high percentage of brass will be lost. My Rem. Var. 26" (replacement 8oz. target trigger) shoots 1/4 min angles using 39 grs. H335,32 gr V-Max at 4200fps. As would be expected with the smaller bore one must clean more often to maintain top accuracy. If you select the heavier barrel platform varmit gun, the Weaver 6X24 Chris suggested is a better way, as it will resolve 5mm holes at 200 yds. (Although the magnification of Weaver is prob. more like 6X20.)

you can get the VXIII 4.5-14x40 with side focus, its the LR models, and you can even get it with the VHR reticle.

AO are necessary for guns than can shoot high enough precision to take advantage of the scopes ability. Long range varmit guns (past 400 yards) are in less need of an AO than the same gun shooting precision groups at 100 yards. In the case of the CZ you will never know if the gun is at fault or the scope. I would doubt if the gun will shoot under an inch which is where one of the big differences (at 100) that an AO makes. If shooting under an inch is not one of your goals, why get a sooper dooper scope? You will always know the gun is the problem. Also CZ have a crazy bolt lift on them, careful about high enough mounts as the bolt will contact the rear of the scope on opening.

Thanks for the information as it helps alot.I think this CZ will prove you guys wrong about accuracy .I have a .22lr in CZ that will shoot with some of the more expensive rifles.Since I get my guns at cost if it dont perform well I will sell and get a A-bolt  which I know is a great rifle only in the varmit they are $680 compared to CZ varmit at $429 which includes a upgraded walnut stock.Again thanks for the information. This is a great website and you guys do a great  job.

- the CZ-75 is one of my favorites. I even love the smaller mauser action (the one the 204 uses but have since gone to Coopers and my lastest a Kimber Pro Varmiter which just came out), and have 6mm, 270 (a double set trigger and spoonbill bolt) build on Brno actions by PO Ackley which I cherish too much to shoot. That is why I spent so much time trying to get the smaller ones to shoot.--at least up to a Remingtion or Savage. Out of 3 different guns over a 5 year period-not to good of luck- All 3 were extremely sensitive to how the guns were held when trying to group, none like a solid forward rest, but need pressure on the shoulder with the left holding hand something you would see more from autos.
