I would appreciate opinions on the scope that is at least 6X24X50 and has the most robust/ reliable/repeatable internals for dialing yardage.

there is a lot of 6x24 scopes for cheaper, but remember that cheaper glass with higher magnification equals pissed off consumer and happy hogs!
let me know if your looking for sub $1000 scopes stuff like  bushnell 6500's 4200's etc.
6.5x284 kicks ass too by the way

One large issue is buying on the Internet without putting your eyeball on it first.

Ditto on the Swaro.  I have that scope and it would be great for your application.

How about considering this scope.  I have a 3-12 and have had perfect tracking so far in the few tests I have tried.

http://www.swfa.com/pc-12461-591-burris-6-24x50-xtreme-tactical-xtr-30mm-rifle-scope.aspx

Not going to be the glass quality of a Swaro, but for under a $1000 it is good.  I think it is the same quality as the 6500 although I have not had the chance to look through them side by side.

I appreciate all your comments. They have been very helpfull. I am presently seriously considering a Sightron SIII 8X32. I will continue to do research following your comments.
Whatever I decide will be my Xmas present because I have been such a good boy this year.

For repeatability and if you intend dialing in your range rather then holdover or varmint type reticule, all the guys in South Africa go for Nightforce.
Price is off course the issue.

What we are missing here is the critical need for a scope with a LOT of internal adjustment.

I already have a Leupold 6.5X25X50 Varmint reticle and calibrated turret for hogs/coyotes  to 600 yds on a custom 22/250. I have a Nightforce 12X42X56 NP-R1 with a 30MOA base for shots 1000 yds+ on a 6.5X284 Savage F Class. I have a custom 6mm/284 for shots 600 to 1000 yds that needs a scope. My initial analysis suggests a Sightron SIII 8X32X56.
But still looking for an obvious choice. Perhaps it does not exist. Perhaps there are a number that can do the job.Comments Please.

I think you are going to have a very tough time finding a better scope for this application. There are scopes out there with better glass, but Nightforce has very good adjustments, and you need the room for adjustment that they give. For shooting like this, I have been very impressed with them. Only had one on a .223, but it was great fun with the NF on there.

Nicka, with the scopes you own you are spoilt for life!
In my opinion you will be disappointed with anything other then the top range.
Have you looked at what Scmidt &Bender has to offer.
Otherwise stay with Nightforce, Zeis or Leupold Tactical.
