Help! I lost the elevation cap and scale ring off my 1972 Bushnell scope chief IV- M. I have contacted some local gun-shops and contacted Bushnell, but none had a replacement due to age/size. All suggested that I buy a new scope which at this time is not financially possible.

Can anyone suggest another source where I can buy just the cap. It is about 7/8" (23.5mm)in diameter??

That is a going to be a hard thing to find. Perhaps talking to folks selling optics at gun shows. Someone might have one in a junk pile. Failing that, perhaps if you put together a real good description of what you are looking for... i.e. exact diameter, thread pitch and socket depth someone might be able to think of another scope or something that has the same size cap.

Try Numrich gun parts.  If they do not have it, probably nobody does.
