I just got a 22-250 and I am thinking about putting one of the following on it. I want a scope that will be fairly bright close to dusk or early in the morning. Which of the following will do that the best??

Bushnell Banner 6-18x50mm

Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40mm

Bushnell Legend 5-15x40mm

My ranges will mostly be from 100 to 300 yrds.

First thing I would consider for brightness are lower powers {if you can depending on what your quarry is for this gun}. If you use high powers most of the time, you are better off with the best optics and coatings rather than bell size in my mind. Once you've considered that along with the powers you use most, then I would consider and weigh in objective size.Woodchuck at 300 yds or coyote at 300 yds or both warrant different scope selections, First, go with the lowest power you can see well with and still make your shot.Of the three you mentioned above, the Legend is the only fully multicoated scope but if that Elite is a fixed ten power, it might serve just as well as the Legend as there are fewer lenses for the light to pass through. if both scopes are set at 10. You would certainly not need 10x for a 100 or 300 yd coyote shot. It would be easier to help if we knew what your 22-250 is for.

I think I am just going to stick with a Bushnell Banner 4-12x40mm on my new 22-250. I have had decent luck with a bushnell 4-12x40mm on my 270.

TxBoy, go with the 3200 or step up to the 4200, either one will be much better for the early morning light or dusk situations you speak of over the Bushnell Banner!

That size sounds like a good all arounder and if the Banner has been a good scope for you and you plan to use your 22-250 at the same time of day as your 270,  it should suffice nicely for you. The Legend has very good optics as well, however do not expect construction to be up to the Elite line but neither is the Banner and  you've had good luck with that . The Legend should be brighter in low light and is a good price compromise to get more scope for your intended purpose.
