Looking for opinions on scope bases and rings for a Tikka T3 Lite in .25-06.  Have read of some problems with the factory Tikka rings, so I may look at other brands.

Try Warne, they make a mount/ring especially for the Tikka.  That is what I replaced factrory mount/rings with for my Tikka Hunter in a 25-06 with to accomadate a 50mm objective scope.  They are extremely will made and tough as nails.

I have the 25-06 and .223 Tikkas and used the Talley lightweights on them which worked out great. They are light and strong and easy to install.

Dolphin,

Do the Warne rings mount directly to the receiver like the factory rings or do they require seperate bases?

ruger62,

What height Talley's did you use for your set up?

The Warne mount/rings mount just like the factory mount/rings.  However, if you would like, you can go with their seperate mounts and rings.  Built like a tank and tough as nails.  The Talley one piece mounts/rings are also an excellent choice.  I own both, on several rifles and neither have ever failed me.  However, Warne is my preference.  You will not go wrong with either choice.

I have both but am switching all of my rifles over to the talley lighweight aluminum rings.  The Warnes are really tough but they are big, heavy and cloddy!  I have a set on a new Tikka and they work perfect!
