I have carefully considered them and feel that the system is well designed however the EOTech has a much wider field of view which makes it first in class as it is by far the fastest CQB optic. There is also much to be said for the aimpoint and especially the Comp M4 which uses a AA battery and has very long battery life. The Tri Power has kind of fallen by the wayside but they system has backup built into it and I think it would be well worth owning problem is that for only a little more you can get the best.

You got me ???  I dont think it is but it could be, most likely aluminum alloy but the fiber optic is in a clear plastic housing and the tritium pill is inside. Should be tough its built to be tactical and Trijicon has produced a lot of tac gear.

First gen tri-power had a plastic housing.  Current version, I think, is aluminum.  It is a nice reddot and, personally, I prefer the chevron to a dot (I am considering selling my Aimpoint and buying Tri-Power).

I already have an eotech and really like it. I'm just looking for something different for my newest AR. Leaning toward an aimpoint, but you never know. Thanks for the input.
