Hi guys,

I am looking for a scope for my air rifle. I hope you guys can shed some light
and guide me on optic choice. This gun will be for hunting / pest control inside of 60yd.
I anticipate that most shot will be 5yd to 30yd. I like an illuminated 2nd focal plane reticle visible
in full daylight. I anticipate some shots have to be taken quickly at close range in
low light. (Raccoons/opossums digging in the garbage for example.)

I am looking at the following:
S&B zenith 1.1-4 x 24
Swarovski Z6i 1-6 x 24
Zeiss Victory Diavari 1.1-4 x 24

I contemplated Eotech/Magnifier combo, Elcan DR but decided I would like nice glass
and a single device. KISS so to speak.

Now questions:
1. Parallax: I  believe these scopes are set for parallax free at 109yd. Is this a problem
if I am shooting at 1-4x at less than 60yd?

2. Red dot / Holosight: Can these scopes be used like a red dot / holosight at 1-1.1x?

3. Magnification: Is this too low? I don't want to sacrifice the ability to take a close up shot.
I am concerned that if I go 1.7-10, 2-10 I might lose the close up ability.

Any insight you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
