While working with a customer today the subject got around to rifles.

My customer showed me a rifle left to him by his fatherinlaw.

It's an Ed Brown single shot bolt action serial # 00XX that began as a .460 Weatherby and then was necked up to .50cal.

It has an integral muzzle brake and he shoots 660 grain bullets with it.

He thinks that is 15-18 years old.

Two digit serial # is pretty neat.

Forgot to add it was a Peacekeeper model.

That's one hell of a rifle - and safe!
I wondered if this cartridge was straight walled or still bottle necked and found this pic.
I searched "50-460 Weatherby"

  image has been "borrowed"

Skip, to post pics...

When you start typing a post, right above your post editor box (the box where you type your posts), you should see some icons. Notice the little scissors icon above the post box. Move over 7 icons to the right, and you should see one that has a tree on it, to the left of the one that looks like a film strip. The one with the tree on it is the "insert image" icon. It looks like this:

Simply click in your post editor box where you want to put the pic, click on the tree icon and a window opens. At the lower left of the window you will see a button below "Image Upload" that is labeled "Browse..." Click on that. A browser window then opens where you select the folder on your computer where the photo is located. Find the photo, click on it, then click "OPEN" on the bottom right of your browser window. It then returns to the original image upload window. Then click on "Upload" and a message appears that says "Please be patient while image is uploaded to server." Click "OK" there. Wait until you see the image show up in the box in the window, then click "OK" at the lower right hand side of the window. The image will then be in the post editor window. Then click "Post Reply" as you normally do and your image will be posted.

Trust me, it sounds way more complicated than it actually is. It's much easier to show you than describe to you. Give it a try.

I like it! A lot!

Don't think I'd enjoy shooting it too much, though.
