I know the whole story with savage's change they made to their recievers in 2003. I just don't understand why there are so many ways that people refer to them. there is a new base made by TPS for savage w/ accutrigger. I thought that sometimes the round rear receiver was also associated with the new accutrigger. can I be sure that it means it will fit a round top?

Yes Sir, if you have an Accutrigger, you have a round receiver.

That also applies to the Stevens.....  Round receiver, BUT, no Accu-trigger. What Savage did with the company in 2003 was Great...
