Hey I need some help... I have a savage model 110, RH, Long action, in .270 and I just bought a new scope....a simmons whitetail classic 6.5-20x50 (from SWFA) and unfortunately the long action on the gun does not work with my new scope.  The problem with the new scope is that it has such a big objective and it tapers down farther than my old one so the ring cant slide up the body of the scope as far and it wont reach the base, its off by about 3/4".  I emailed Weaver to see what they said and I was just curious as to what peoples opinions on here would be about what I could use.  Any information would be great.

You might want to think about a one piece Tactical mount. This would give you a full Picatinny rail from front to rear

with out having to use some extension ring. A Picatinny rail and a set of hight height rings will do every thing you want with that Simmons scope.E-mail me and I'll give you some part numbers.
