I just acquired a very nice Sako Forester L579.  It's a varmint barreled .243.  It came with bases and rings already installed.  I don't think the rear mount is right.  It sticks WAY over the ejection port.  The front one looks perfect.  Any idea what brand these are?  What would be an economical but good set of replacements that would use the same rings?  Here's the rest of the pics.  The scope is a Elite 4200 6-24x.

That is a very nice rig!  I don't know what brand of bases those are, but the rings appear to be standard Leupold/ Redfield/Burris windage-adjustables with a rotary dovetail up front. The rear ring merely sets atop the rear base and is held captive by the cross screws which are undercut in a cupped manner to engage corresponding cuts  on the sides of the rear ring, near the bottom.
If it zeroes up okay, and the eye relief works without you needing to move the scope back any further, I would just leave it as is.
If you don't like it, I'm sure that one of those manufacturers makes a base that doesn't overhang the port. You will probably need to buy both front and rear bases as a set. You may wish to buy new rings from the same manufacturer at the same time, in case your old rings don't fit your new bases.

Thank you.  I'm anxious to see how she shoots.  I will use it for varminting.  I will be trying Hornady, Winchester, and Federal 55, 58, and 70 gr ballistic tip bullets in it to see how she shoots.  This may even get me into reloading.

I went with the Redfield mounts and they fit nicely.  Not bad at all for $20.
