What about Savage Accu-Trigers ??  They are about the most improved rifle on the block right now...  I guess now that Winchester is gone that must make Ford-Savage..Sounds good to me..

I still drive that Subaru (and intend to for a while longer until I replace it with another Subaru).  At the last count I have eight Mosin Nagants: 3 Finns and 5 Russians.  All of my Finns have receivers made before 1899 (no need to mess with FFLs).  I only keep one scoped, but all three shoot MOA or better with handloads.  Not bad for rifles that are nearly 110 years old.  One has a replacement Huber trigger.  The rest have stock triggers.  They are not bedded or modified in any way except for some provisions for scope mounting.

Fugly? Not once you've pulled the trigger a few times.  Well, actually I've always liked the way they looked to be honest.

Funny thing, I got up this morning and chuckled about this thread, went out to my barn and pulled the cover off of my 1956 big back window, Bright red, lowered Remington pickup and drove it to work today. There's nothing Fugly about that

My apologies, Brady.  As for the truck, I am not really a truck guy (have no use for one, to be honest).  The color is all wrong though.  I guess staring at the Soviet flag too much left a lingering animosity toward red color.

You can't post a description like that with out some visual aid.  You gotta post a picture.
