They have now got the American Predator in 6mm creed, super neat.  They are listed on gunbroker.

Also the American Ranch they have chambered in 450 bushmaster.  Sweet hog gun caliber.  I wish we had somewhere local to hunt those.  I hope they do a 6.8 spcII next.  I have always wanted that caliber in a bolt action.

In their scout line they have started chambering it in 6.5 creed.

IMO they are really doing neat things with the American line.  Granted the stocks do suck, but spend $150 to $220 on a  boyds and you can have a really nice rifle in the $600 range.  The triggers are good, not a Timney, but they are as good as most other factory trigger I have tried.  They are very accurate and they function well.

I plan on buying two of the predators in .308 or 6.5 creed for my boys.

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I have 2 Ruger bolt rifles. One is a Hawkeye and the other is an M77. Both carbines. They are great guns.

308 and 708 respectively. The 308 is a 5.75 pound gun, and the 708 is a 6 pound gun, without scopes. Neither kicks hard. The 708 is a dream. It's got a laminated stock and is stainless.

I am thinking about getting the 308 duracoated. I put a Zeiss Duralyt scope on it. Man I love that gun.

Me too on the .308 in 77 and the 08 in Hawkeye. No nonsense get-er-done guns.

Yes they are great guns. It was between them and a Remington model 7, and I just couldn't find 100+ dollars difference between the two.

Not to mention I shot a Remington Model 7 in 708 years ago, in a B&C stock, and it was a handful. My Ruger is tame.

And for sitting in a shooting house, or hunting in thick cover, nothing beats that short barrel.

I have a model 7MS in .257 Roberts and it's far from a handful. Works great in the two shooting houses I hunt out of. Oh and it also works great in my bale blind.

When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.It is difficult only for others.

It is the same when you are stupid.

my only Ruger bolt gun is a stainless wood stock model 77 in 300 Win Mag. I keep it out of frustration because my GAPrecision 300 WM only runs factory brass this way I have something that runs reloads without a fuss.
