Well I got my 10/22 all set up finally so I can practice my long range shooting without the costs of shooting my .308.  One last thing I need for it is a new trigger.  Timney is coming out with a new one in the next month or two and I will probably get one of those as I have been very happy with the two AR triggers I have.

CFII hooked me up with a Super Sniper package that comes with rings and a load of other accessories.  It arrived yesterday and I got it mounted.  I am pretty excited to try it out.  I may even have to put it on my .308 for a while to really test it out, I have a feeling it is going to be a great scope.  Thanks for the great service CFII and SWFA, it was a great surprise when I went to the post office yesterday and it had arrived.

I think you missed the point there Silver.  To shoot out to 300 yards or more with a .22 you need around 40 MOA of elevation.  Super Sniper makes a good choice for that use.

Chris gave me the idea the other day when he was saying some long range shooter customers had been using them on their .22s.  I was going to go with a 6x but decided what the heck it has everything I need at less than half the price of the IOR I was looking at.

You are correct sir! That gun needs a new trigger. Send it to me! I need it as much as it needs me. Nice looking rig. I hope to do something like that someday when things look up.

Supertool:

Can you tell me more about the mount you are using?
Have a year later long term test drive report?
You happy with the 10x or would you prefer a 6x for the 22?

Looks great.

Mostly just the Remington subsonic stuff.  I have tried the remington target, but being supersonic it is not as accurate at longer distances.

Great!!!  I had never thought of that before... "If you think you need a new trigger, send it to Trigger..."
Very good.

Dang, wish I had thought of that one...

curious as how the subsonic cycles?? the springs in most 10/22 are set up for the higher velocity stuff. Did you have to tune the bolt spring??

Dale, that is absolutely true with my 10/22.  The subsonic will not cycle at all.  I've never done any work on it, other than occasional cleaning.

True with mine too dale.  Since I just shoot paper with it, I did not care much.  I should have mentioned that, thanks for bringing that up.

not to jack this thread, but ive got a mid 70's model 10-22 and for some reason it wont cycle cleanly with the 25 shot clips, it will run through the 10 shot factory clips all day long but slap a 25 rd aftermarket in and she jams every 2-3 shots. so i traded a guy my 25rd for his extra factory 10rd

Hunter I had the same problem, I took the clip apart, stretched teh spring out to make it more powerful with compressed and glued the clip back together and it hasn't jammed up again.
