One of the few Cowboy games I've gotten to see this year.  I thought Romo did well, but he is not good enough to overcome Garrett's play calling AND the offensive and defensive lines.  Cowboys need someone who knows how to select players (obviously Jerry Jones does not qualify).  Garrett is so inconsistent it is almost funny.  He can call a great series of plays and then at the most crucial moment in the game it seems like he asked the opposing coach which play he should call.

Eli Manning is one of my favorite players.   HE commanded his team to victory when a lesser player would have "let down" (read much of the Cowboys offensive and defensive lines).  Behind Tim Tebow, he is my pick for "best in the League".  Sometimes, knowing how to lead is better than knowing exactly what to do...

Well the last time the Cowboys went on the road for the last game of the year and the East title on the line...I think the Eagles whipped them like 44-0... I know that was Wade Phillips as the head coach, but the current team strongly resembles that one...
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

They are not a team... that is the problem.  Leadership is lacking...

Long on talent, short on dedication and will...

I don't like the Cowboys very much right now.  Not because they are losing, but because they are losing for all the wrong reasons.

Romo can play good, but he is inconsistant in my mind regardless of the play calling.  Garrett has actually done ok in the play calling, although he does have his bad moments.  Personally I would rather they keep Garrett and get rid of Romo.

One of their biggest problems right now is not Romo, or even their offense for that matter.  Defensively, they haven't been able to stop anyone when they need to preserve a lead late in the game.  Yes, there are leadership issues and some bad play calling decisions, but despite that, they have plenty of talent to make big plays and beat anyone when the stars are lined up properly.

Sorry about that, buddy.  I cleared some space in my mailbox.  Try it now.

Well, so far, their defense is playing worse than a high school team.  Better step it up.  And maybe get a quarterback that can use both hands.  This game is driving me nuts so far.

Very disappointing game on the Cowboys' part, really good game on the Giants' part.  Disappointing year for the Cowboys, who never really got "together".  They had moments, far too few of them.  They are NOT a team, just a group put together under the same jerseys.  Pretty pathetic showing, actually.

Giants, Packers, Broncos and Steelers...

As much as it pains me to say as a lifelong Cowboy's fan, I've come to the conclusion they just plain suck.

Ever since the glory years of the early 1990's, they've been perennially overrated underachievers.  I believe they lack the discipline, character, heart, and leadership to ever get beyond mediocre, and will remain mediocre until Jones and Son gets their heads out of their @sses and dusts off the template that proved successful in the 1990's -- hire a real coach and personnel who can properly evaluate, utilize, and motivate talent, give them some decision-making autonomy, then get the hell out of the way.

They need another Hershel Walker type trade.  Wink

Yeah... that too!Big Grin

Only this time around, they've got nobody on their roster that would remotely attract such a deal again.

Garrett wasn't throwing the football on the drive that was "win or lose"... Romo threw the interception....

I agree. But the Cowboys looked out-coached and over-matched on both sides of the ball...AGAIN! Players have to play the game, but if the game-plan is wrong, you will not win. Example, the first three times Dallas had the ball, and the Redskins were blitzing every down, the best pass-catching tight-end to ever play the game was blocking...DUH!

It pains me to say this, but I'm through with the Dallas Cowboys, despite the fact I've been a Cowboys fan all my life, through the ups and downs, the hardships and the high points, and despite the fact I'm a huge Jason Witten fan. I just can't take the lack of heart, lack of discipline, and lack of leadership anymore. I've got better things to do with my time than watch that perennially underachieving team. I'd much rather watch a 1-15 Cowboys team during a rebuilding era whose players are showing promise and playing their guts out.

Romo isn't a winner when the chips are down. Garret isn't a top tier coach. The offensive line sucks. Rob Ryan obviously sucks as a defensive coordinator, just as his brother sucks as a head coach. I wouldn't hire any of the Ryan family from their dad on down to coach a high school team. Jerry and Co. aren't good evaluators of talent and need to stick to managing the business aspect and let real coaches and "football guys" make on-field and personnel decisions. Jerry is an arrogant asshat who thinks he can ride the coattails of the past glory years, continue fielding a crap product and fill the stands just because it's the Dallas Cowboys, the former "America's Team." Well, I guess he's been correct on that assumption, but oh, how I wish people would stop showing up for home games and support uninspired mediocrity. Jerry is the modern incarnation of Al Davis.

The Dallas Cowboys SUCK!

Go Broncos!
