In the late autumn the roedeer throws their antlers. They new antlers start growing shortly after.
Here in Feb. March we can get an idea of what we can look foreward to when the spring hunt starts May 16th.
I have a couple of smaller, young bucks scooting around on my property and then there is this guy....
He looks very promising the way he sets up. Off course they allways look big when they are in velvet but
it gives a pretty good idea of what to expect.
These pictures are the best i have so far. I will post others to this thread if i get some. 
In case he decides to stay, i'll post pictures when he throws the velvet. If i could get the luck to shoot him, when that time comes, i won't keep them to myself. Smile

I have taken a look, & it was pure damn luck that day on ur behalf. call me cocky or whatever u want I'd give any one a good run for their money I may lose but wouldn't be by much. If any one care to try their luck bring ur asses to Idaho & try!
