Yeah, I saw that. Sad day. He really was "The Greatest". My folks were "racist" by today's standards, but they respected Ali when I was growing up.

I clearly remember listing to the Clay/Liston fight on my radio a few years ago.  Great athlete and showman.

Growing up I remember reading about his fights (the next day) in the SF Sporting Green (the Frazier fights, the fight Norton busted his jaw and beat him, etc.) I also remember watching him many times on Wide World of Sports sparring with Howard Cosell and of coarse watching his fights on TV. It was truly a time of some awesome heavy weights of which he was the greatest.

The Ali shuffle was huge for me. No matter where I was I would go out of my way to get to a TV to watch him fight. RIP
