Thanks,

Any good quality 34mm ring should work fine.

Why do you want McMillan rings?

For what I'm guessing McMillan wants for theirs, I'd consider Badger, Seekins, and TPS (in that order.)  You can also do Nightforce and USO, but badger has never let me down.

Hello,

I got to pick out any ring's of choice for free so I picked the McMillan's.  What caught my eye was the 12 screw's on the ring's. My only small concern is going to be the distance between the scope and the barrel. I'm hoping for .25" or so.

Clearance should be okay, even with the honkin' dust-cap on the Heritage. Check what you're getting against Seekins lows, which I can verify work fine - at least on a varmint-contoured Rem. 700 action and a 3-15x50. I do have to rotate the dust-cap sideways however. The hinged part is big.
