Thanks everyone for your responses to my earlier post.  I received my Hensoldt 6-24X56 scope (SWFA) and studied functions for about week.  WOW!  The difference between VX-III 6.5-20X50 is pretty significant.  (Esp. glass)  I just thank my wife again and again.  Now, I am getting ready to buy/order rings/base for Sendero in 300 WM.  My questions are as follows;  1) What brand would work best?.  2) Which height for 56mm aperture?  3)  Is additional MIL/MOA base required for longer range (1000M/1000Yrds) and still 0 at 100M/Yrds?  Specs state that maximum scope adjustment is 80cm @ 100m, therefore, if I am doing math rignt, that means 800cm adjustment @ 1000m.  A 210gr VLD bullet will drop 882cm @ 1000m (2900 fps @ muzzle) when zero is at 100m.  If this is correct, I think I will need additional MIL/MOA base?  And 4)  Are there custom turrats made for Hensoldt scopes?  Thanks again.

Same answer I gave you on your other post:

I don't know how much fiddling around you've done with yours, but the Hensoldts come from the factory mechanically zeroed.  That gives you 80cm up/80cm down (adjustment range is 160cm in elevation for the 6-24x56... 200cm for the 6-24.74, which I own).  I suggest a 20 MOA rail if you intend really long distance shooting, which is what the rig is for, I would assume.  20MOA gives you an additional 5.93 mils of adjustment and should allow you to zero at 100m and get out to about 1250m.  30MOA rail would be too much.
