Hi,
First post. Twenty years after selling my old M77, I finally have a Sako 75 in 30-06 coming in this week, and need some rings/mounts for a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40. I called Beretta to order Sako Optilocks, but they will not have the rings in for 3 months. Does any one have an online source for Optilocks?

Alternatively I could order Talley or another aftermarket brand, but am not sure of which height to go with. Some specific recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

It was one of those deals where someone probably raided the rings from the boxes before sale, knowing that both would sell. Except for the hassles, for the price I paid its not such a huge loss, but I agree its a shabby practice.

Measured my set up for you I have a B@L 4200 on mine. as follows.
rings are from top of base to top of lower ring or bottom of scope=.490 or aprox,1/2''

And between bell and bbl @ chamber=.150 or aprox,5/32''
oh! that B@L is 3x9
I hope this helps you out ..

The bases are integral? rings are optilocks I'm guessing rings are medium height. scope is 3x9x40

PM me and I can tell you where to find the Opti-locks online(took me a while to find 30mm rings but I finally found a place) !

Also, I have a set of blued 1" low Opti-lock rings that came with my 75 that I would sell if your interested (they will fit a 40 mm scope for sure). I used the bases though !

Update: I ended up ordering a set of blued Sako XTRA LO rings, which I believe is the only Sako type where the bases and rings are integrated.

There is a recoil stop cutout on the Sako 75's rear receiver base which mates with a pin on the rear ring that eliminates fore and aft adjustability. The upshot is that with the Conquest 3-9 set all the way forward, I am still wanting another .5" more eye relief for my optimal cheek weld. Its still a workable solution, and the issue is probably due to force of habit developed shooting my AR-15A2 NM rifle where the cheek weld position is forced further forward as  compared to most sporting rifle configurations.

P.S. The barrel to scope clearance is 3/16".

I got mine from Gunbroker. The first place I would call is Beretta USA, if they don't have it, they might be able to direct you elsewhere.

Spent about 30 min. today listening to "Your call is important to us..." at 1-800-BERETTA, finally gave up.
All listed "authorized dealers" on berettausa.com are not Beretta dealers anymore.

I guess I got lucky. Although he did not have what I wanted, he did have some stuff in stock. Was highly doubtful of when a new shipment would come in.

Ok, turned out I was looking for something not imported by Beretta to the USA.
Called Beretta next day and got a nice guy to explain to me my mistakes and ordered Optilock ring/base for the T3.

Get the low rings.  The lows are very tall to begin with.  You'll have a ton of clearance with a 40mm scope.

Of course, low. I was even thinking about extra-low. Got them in the mail today.
