First off hello all im new here first post and have little experience mounting scopes or setting them up properly.  I have a 25-06 browning bar im setting up for the wife. It currently has leupold one peice base and rings with a zeis conquest. I can seem to line the front ring with the rear or maybe im trying to get it to perfect. Would it be easier to get a new ring base system with no windage adjustment fo a new guy?
Thanks in advance

I'm a simplistic type guy and don't like rings with windage adjustment.  Bout the easest set of rings to set up IMO are teh talley lightweights.  The base and rings are one piece so you would loos teh leupold base as well.  YOu simply attach the bases with two screws apiece, torque to specs, put the scope in and lightly put the rings on. Adjust eye relief and torque them down evenly.  Very Very Simple, in fact so simple a cave man could do it.

This is my though on it. Unless your rings are so far off that the tube is being stressed because they do not line up together, do not worry about it. I spent a lot of time and effort stressing over the same situation and guess what. My zero is not lined up with it either, Your barrel moves in a circle as you shoot and extending that line out is not going to be centered either. If the scope fits fine and you are not using up much of your windage adjustments to get it bore sighted do not worry.

If your scope rings are out of alignment with each other enoght to stress the scope then you need to try and remedy that.

This of course is my 2 cents.
