I have a Savage 220 with an egw 41101 picatinny rail, mounting a Leupold VX R 3x9x40 30mm tube can someone tell me what height of the Burris signature 30 mm rings would work keeping the scope as low as possible without the obj.lens hitting the barrel-medium or high?I'm sure the high would work, but want to keep it as low as I can, thank you

My bad. I don't know then. Most all LOW tactical style rings would work fine with that set up. I do know that.

Maybe give SWFA a call and ask them directly?

You could go with Burris low tactical rings and call it a day?

Welcome to Optics Talk. Please come back and let us know how you like your rig. I love my VX-R 3-9x more all the time.

Well I called SWFA technical and they don't seem to know either-he did tell me the heigth is .5"from where the ring connects to the base to the bottom of the mount where the scope sits-I have the scope and gun,was wanting to order rings and base from same place,if I had the base I could ck measurement-just looked on egw's site it listed their tactical and heavy duty base measurements but not the regular-I will email them and get thickness-will let you know.

This thread might help but no definite answer.

Seems folks have had varying success with the EGW rail depending on scope tube length.

I gotcha.

I looked around on the intra-webs and saw some medium Burris Sig rings on Pic rails and what appeared to be 40mm-ish objectives. Looks like a good fit.
