I want to mount a Leupold 6.5-20x40 VX-III 30mm Riflescope as low as possible on my Savage LRPV. Should I get Farrel 10moa or regular height mounts for shooting up to 500 yards? What height would you recommend for the Burris Xtreme Tactical rings? Thanks

You should have plenty of "up" with the scope your getting, but I would recommend a 20 MOA rail. The rail stays with the rifle, scopes come and go. At least they do with me. Embarrased

Your next scope may not have enough elevation to get where you want to go and your out nothing by having a little extra elevation.
Better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.
