I recently picked up a kimber 22 rifle. Been considering the leupold rimfire 2x7 and the weaver 2x7 rimfire. Have not been able to find either locally to look through. I have a couple leupold vxI's in 4x12 and am not that impressed, although the vx II & III's I have are better. I was wondering how the weaver compares? The only other one I thought of was the zeiss 2.5x8, the only drawback being the parallax being set at 100 yds.

The Kimber is a nice rifle and it deserves a nice scope. What is important is that you select a scope with adjustable parallax.  I have a nice 22 that has the older version of this scope and I am very happy with it.

Hi, I agree they are a very nice scope. However I am trying to keep the scope in proportion with the rifle and maintain its profile. The higher magnification will not be needed as I will be using the rifle for squirrels and rabbits. Where I hunt a 75 yard shot would be about the farthest. I appreciate your input and thank you. Have a great day!

Between the 2-7 scopes I would get the Weaver. It is cheaper, has one piece construction and the same coatings and lenses as their big game scopes.

If you want a Leupold I would look at the EFR models. They are very good.

Thank you tahqua, I have been leaning towards the weaver. My first thoughts where the 3x9 efr rimfires, and still have not ruled them out. Just don't know if I really need one for my use. Have a great day!   PS. Yes I have, driven ford trucks close to 40 years now.

Very good, I have similar glass in a 3.5-10 Leupold EFR. It is no longer made and may be close to the 3-9.
