Yes, the dreaded parallax error question.

I have a Nikon 4x rimfire scope parallax set for 50 yards. I'd like to use this as a temporary interim scope on one of my AR-15's until I finish my bolt action project and I decide on a tactical style scope for that AR.

How much error should I expect at 150 yards or greater? I know there will be some, but the information I've searched for all talks of centerfire scopes at rimfire distances, not the other way around.

There's probably a lot of variables there.  I would mount it, set up a target at 150yds, and see how mcuh my point of aim moved as I moved my head around.  If parallax is going to be a big problem, you'll be able to see it.
