Do you know who makes the Field & Stream riflescopes that Dick's Sporting Goods carries? I would like more info that Dick's does not have online.

It´s made "somewhere in China" - an unqualified guess = Tasco or another company that manufacture scopes with a name of your choice.

Dick's usually equals overpriced junk. Read the rules, about use of competitors' names on this forum.
If you want a good deal on optics, as well as good info on them, look no further than SWFA or riflescopes.com.
Deals aren't any better than what you will find here.

Smiling jasmine optics works, used to be revolution of the people factory # 27...  with 10 thousand scopes you get egg roll and soup!  Would that really help? Most of this stuff is a "black box" made in china.  Even if they told you, would it mean something?PirateSorry

When I started shooting, I purchased a scope that was the store brand. It had good reviews online. It worked fine the first year, but the next season I could not zero it. No matter what adjustments I made, it always shot 1 inch high and left 3/4 of an inch. Fortunately for me it had a life time warr and they gave me my money back. Never again. Now I always purchase name brand scopes. And depending on what cal you are shooting you could burn up the savings on ammo trying to get it zeroed. Or if it fails when you are shooting that trophy. Was it worth it?

Tell us what you are going to do with your rifle, cal, distance and budget. There are a number of people here who would be very happy to help you select a good scope that will meet your budget, needs and last a lifetime.
