Trying to remember brand name of scope bought a few years ago. it was made it Texas , and believe it was a 8x32x56. the box was dark green with a gold stag or elk on it. would appreciate some help remembering.Whacko

Just realized looking at Weaver scope section, its green with goldish elk

If it was actually made in texas, the only one I know of was the old weavers that were made in el passo texas. My dad has an old one in the box, it is a green box but I don't ever remember seeing any elk on it. The scope is was made in el passo texas, but that factory was shut down years ago like at least 10 years ago, maybe 15.

Unless there's some new, small- scale optics company I'm not aware of, there's no scopes being built in Texas since the old El Paso Weavers a few decades ago. Could you be confusing manufacturing origin with the location of the dealer who sold it?
