I have read the message about L.T.M. being theives, witch is reall sad. So my question is does anyone here know of some reputable companies for this service? I would prefer the cerakote or the gunkote, and the Houston area would be preferable.

Thank you guys ahead of time, Dave

Do it yourself. Go to Midway or Brownells and look at the Duracoat finishes and pick a color and go to it.
Easy to use, simple directions and so far I have found it to be durable on my 1911 slide and a friends old 38 revolver.

As far as the metal I would send that to Walter Birdsong for finish in (green, tan, black brown)  That is about the most durable.  the stock can be sent somewhere esle for a camo paint job.  Quite a shame LMT went through troubled times - I believe as the result of a lost family memeber.   George Gardner at GAPrecision should know if they are back on stable business operations since LMT is south of Kansas City.

Yeah, I would love to send it to Birdsong, but unfortunately he passed away back in July I believe. I don't even know if his buisness is still going or how to get ahold of them to have anything done. Thanks for the list of people here in Texas.

Walter's son is running the business and kinda was all along for the last several years. They have huge gov contracts so they aren't going anywhere. They can be contacted at 601-939-7448

Not hardly!  That was just the excuse he gave.  Troubled times or not, there is absolutely no excuse for being a thief and a liar.

Dave, if you want Cerakote, these guys do a great job, and their turnaround is quick too.  At least it was when I had a rifle Cerakoted.  They aren't in Houston, though.

Kampfeld Custom applies Cerakote and Durakote as well...
