I was surprised that I really do just crank up the magnification on my variable scope. Which brings me to the obvious question: Why am I paying for a variable?
Do any of the elite scope makers still make fixed power scopes? Which one then? I'd like to have something above 15x.

IOR has a 6x, 10x, and 16x.
Leupold makes fixed power scopes in high mags as well. |
