New to the site... need some help please... what is a reverse front mount? Leupold Dual Dove tail mounts have 2 model numbers for my Weatherby Mark V... one is listed as a DD the other is DD RVF (reverse front) When/why would you use that mount?? Thanks in advance!!

Sometimes the windage turret saddle is a little far out on your scope tube and won't 'fit' in the normal 5 inch gap between the rings...so you turn the front rings to give you more space. Or you could turn them the other way because maybe the objective bell of the scope is getting in the way because the tube is a little short.
