I got my IOR 1.1-4 x 26 with horseshoe reticle and BDC in 2006.   It was almost everything I like in a scope, except for the weight.  Specs says only 16oz, but it was actually weighing 23oz (30 if LT 1.5 SPR 30mm is included).   It was mounted on my 16" AR with 'thinned' barrel.   Being on a budget at that time, I just got the hang of it - despite making my carbine top-heavy.

Fast forward to 2008 -- I saved to get an Aimpoint H1 and 3-9 Zeiss Conquest (Flex reticle).  H1 is mounted on another M4, while the Zeiss alternates aiming time with the IOR.

A friend has expressed interest on the IOR.  I'm very inclined to let it go... having experienced faster pace shooting with my micro H1 and more accurate groups with the Zeiss.

Although I still plan to get a low-powered tactical scope in the future to replace it.  I'm thinking of either a compact ACOG T33 or the upcoming TR-24 accupoint.  Weight (low), reticle (preferrably with BDC) and eye-relief (not extended) are quite important in my consideration.

What do you think?   I do have some 'attachment' with the IOR, but its tank weight is quite discouraging... :(

If light weight is a priority, ACOG of some sort is the way to go and the 3x30 is, IMO, the best one of the bunch.

If your friend does not want your IOR I will take it.  The ACOGs are nice and would match up with your AR quite nicely.

I would take IOR over the mk4 any day.
