picked up a remington 700 at walmart the other day. does anyone like this xmark pro trigger? i read that its the worst trigger there is,etc.     already got me wanting to go on and put a timney on it.

swap it and never look back. Use xmark as a target for  rifle and new trigger.

yea ive heard of it breaking off like that. heck im almost regretting buying a remington worried the barrel may explode in my face or something as bad as remingtons luck has been lately. gonna put a timney in it most likely

I have very few rifles that still wear their as-issued trigger units.

Remington triggers are just too easy to replace NOT to get an upgrade!

I still for the life of me figure out why a company with the history of Remington can't get something like a trigger on there premier rifle to work safely and reliably. It's not like they've never seen a successful trigger design before.
