Bet you thought it would be rifle.

Got a Remington Premier in Field grade for some late season dove hunting. Wanted a 28 ga. on a 410 frame. Wood fit not as good as Athena or Berettas, frame smaller than athena but larger than my Berretta 686 silver pigeon. After 800 rds skeet 3/4 9's the barrel selector showed wear marks (shouldn't). Wood quality good but not as figured as expected. Barrel block not jeweled. Gun tracks like a skeet (clay over bead and pronounced end lift) which came as a suprise for a field gun. 28" pro-bore chokes

My sage grouse, pheasant, chukkar gun.

26" 3" 20 ga.

Guess I'll throw a 'scatter gun up as well. This is a Beretta 682 Gold E w/ adj comb stock.

Nice-I like the coloration in the foreend. Shotguns are a very personal thing--talk about this one, where does it balance?, Adj. comb suggests you use it in some serious sport shooting, what do you like? What loads? barrel lengths?

Dale the chokes are the standard Beretta Optima-Bore tubes that came with the gun. I shoot skeet and SC, low gun, which is why I bought the 682. It is lighter than most Browning and much lighter than any K-80 that I shot prior to getting this one. It's got 28" barrels and I only shoot target loads through it. I also really like my 391 Gold auto for SC as you can shoot that gun all day without any fatigue. It feels as close to any stack barrel, and I have shot most, as an auto will come too. I got the 682 at the Beretta Gallery in NYC cause it had the nicest wood at that price level as Beretta's go anyway.

At the local skeet club, alot of autos are used (as far as I can tell berettas) for doubles, rather than stacks-- would this be the 391?

Yes, they would be either the 390 or newer 391 auto's.
