I am wanting to get a Zeiss 3-9x50 Conquest Rifle Scope for my Remington 788 .243. What type of rings and bases do I need?

Hello mcurtis,
You have, as you know, a very good rifle with a very different rear receiver... With the rear locking lugs and one mounting hole on the back, good bases are a little hard to come by. With that configuration, you'll need two of the Remington 700 front bases of which you will only be able to use one hole on the rear one. (a little blue Loc-tite).
Now for rings... If you have allot of taper in the barrel, you might get away with a medium height ring, but, my guess is the high height.
My suggestion is to use something with GOOD quality and you'll enjoy it for a long time to come.
