My wife was kind enough to give me my dream 300WM for Christmas, so I’m putting my previous hunting rifle up for sale.

Specs:

Model – Remington 700 SPS Buckmasters Edition

Caliber – 300 Winchester Magnum

Capacity – 3 + 1

Barrel Length – 26” Barrel [broken in appropriately (shoot, clean, shoot, clean, etc.)]

Twist – 1:10

Overall Length – Approximately 49”

Recoil Pad – Remington’s version of the “Limbsaver”

Trigger – This gun DOES NOT have the new X-Mark Pro Trigger System

Round Count – Maybe 100 rounds down the tube

Weight – 7 5/8 lbs. (per Remington)

Finish – Remington’s Polymer/Teflon/Whatever

Stock – Realtree HD

Adds:

1” Talley Lightweight Aluminum Rings

Vandenburg Custom Muzzle Break – adds about 2.5” to overall length

Badger Ordnance Bolt Handle – installed by Ed Vandenburg (http://www.vandenbergcustom.com)

Gun is in mint condition.

My Costs:

Gun – $600

Rings – $44

Bolt Knob – $150

Muzzle Brake – $95

Total – $889

Your Price: $750 + $20 shipping to your FFL  $650 SHIPPED to your FFL

Oh - one more thing...

I don't recall the height of the rings, but they held a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50 comfortably.

I have the same brake (installed by Ed) on several guns, it is very effective, not particularly pretty, but very effective.

The thing I like best about it is that it is only ported on the sides.  A brake that has ports on all 360 degrees of the barrel is only good for throwing smoke in your face and throwing up dirt when you're lying in the prone.

It's a great design...and yes, it is very effective.
