Well Fellas, it appears I may want  to put some type of scope or dot sight on my 1100 Magnum 12 ga, for centering up a hopefully tight-patterning turkey load.

I haven't decided which scope yet, I have a few workable options.
What I need is recommendations for a No-drill, No tap, Saddle- type, Weaver-style mount for the receiver. Am thinking of the Weaver Converta system unless convinced otherwise.

 Any thoughts?

Just thought I'd shamelessly bump this back to the top in case anyone who hadn't seen it had an opinion.
I'll let it go after this.

BD, when you mount these, do you put anything between the saddle mount and the receiver?  Or doesn't it scratch too bad?

I have done both. If it is going to be taken on and off you can put some wax paper inbetween just to keep it from scratching but most people leave them on.I have only used these a time or 2 mostly I drill and tap the recever adn put a rail on it and not worry about anything else.

Just curious.  Not sure about Ronk's gun, but I got an 835 Mossberg for $150 3 years ago matte black.  If something happened to the finish, I would care but not heart broken because I bought it to use for turkey and duck hunting.  Sure his 1100 has a nicer finish than mine.
