The Remmy MSRP is $1100. Figure that the dealers will sell them from about $950 to $1050 depending on the dealer. On Gunbroker maybe a little less!

I have to admit that I love that rifle, but after researching the Kimbers, I would probably go for an 84M Classic, despite the fact it is a blued barrel.  Cheaper also.

I love stainless barrels on wood stocks, to me they're the classiest.  For some reason I don't own one, but that will eventually change.

          She's a Beauty !
I don't have a 6.5 cal  and this might have to be the one.
Bet it will be awhile before one hits The Big Sky Country though.

Wait for the new FN made Model 70, it won't have a pot metal
trigger guard and floorplate.

I stand corrected. Glad to see Remington has seen the errors of its past.
But it's still not a Model 70.

i wouldnt argue with you that the pre64's are good but the newer m70's are nothing like the new m700's with the xmark pro trigger.

No it's not, for example it's safety would stay where you left it and not jumping forward when it most like it.
I have had one Win m70 and one of my commercial Mausers have had a Dakota m70 safety, NEVER AGAIN.
I really like the idea with a safety that locks the firing pin, but the Win m70 solution is really the worst.
Schultz Larsen, Weatherby and Sako 75/85 have made their solutions to the problem far betten than Win m70 and all its clones had.
