ok i just got an ar-15  dpms oracle  .223/5.56
now im looking at a red dot scope for it  from  primary arms
there are two different ones im looking at m3 style and m4 style
the m4 style is 2moa   and the m3 style is 4moa
im new to red dots so please excuse me  while i ask some stupid questions
im used to some 3x9x40s  like bushnell trophys  mine is 1/4 moa
i know it stands for min of angle  i beleive
ok so for hunting hogs or coyotes within 100 yards  longest shot maybe 150
whould something with a 2 inch moa or a 3 inch moa be ideal
for a pull up and fast target ?
i want something different this time ya know besides a 3x9
thease two optics are talked alot about on forums they love them there.
but im wondering if it whould be ideal for what im looking to do ya know
and you can even get flash kills for them and magnifiers 3x and 5x reasonable prices also

A red dot IMHO is good for fast acquisition targeting at close range. The 2 moa dot will cover 3 inches of your target at 150 yds and the 4 moa dot will cover 6 in of your target at 150 yds. I myself would like something smaller for hunting hogs. That is just me. It is very feasible to use at those ranges and still be able to see your kill zone.

If you want a red dot then get one, just realize it is for fast acquisition  and not precision.

As far as the type you chose, I do not have a clue. I am sure someone here will chime in on the optics you are talking about. I would want the 2 moa
