My legal team is working with the US Patent Office for "The Target Condom" as we speak. Wink

I was shooting in a fairly steady rain once and while I was under roof and dry, my targets hanging down range at the 100 yard berm, were getting soaked and after a short while, were tore up and totally useless.
I was in sort of a bind because one, the range was 1 hour and 20 minutes from home, and two, I was leaving to go on an informal shoot soon and I wouldn't have another chance to zero this scope. Had to be done RIGHT then. Ya'll know what I mean. Wink

I dug through my pick up and found some transparent, plastic file jackets. Open on one end and see through. You can get them at Staples or Office Depot pretty cheap.

I took and cut my target down to where it would fit tightly inside the file holder, hung the target back up on the line and commenced to fire. I was at least able to sight my rifle in without the target getting wet and shredding.

Obviously, the plastic gets shot all to hell quickly, and should be considered "disposable" so you might want to keep 3 or 4 with you if you think it may be raining.

Fits inside range box easily. Just keep it with you until ya need it.
(Kinda like a REAL condom.) Big%20Grin

And do you plan to market them in truck stop restrooms and drug stores?

Thank you, Gentlemen. Bow

Not sure where our target market will reside yet, Ted. Still working on a company slogan.
So far my marketing team has this to show for their "effort".

The Target Condom...."We Get Wet, So You Don't"
I'm not feeling that though. Thumbs%20Down

You might want to review where you are shooting.  Not sure..... but I think that isn't a qualified backstop.

Ick, good catch of an obvious safety infraction, but the picture was merely a "simulated action pic" that was taken by my marketing team for the brochure that will go out to entice buyers of one of our Target Condom franchices.......Yep,%20Thought%20So

Bad trigger discipline, but everything else seems to be up to snuff, Mike.

Great idea you have!!
Would you consider appointing me as your sole distributor for Africa?

You may have to consider some sort of padlock or anti-theft bracket though.

No knock on your idea, Mark, but I'm thinking this trumps your target condom marketing plan all to hell so far.  Maybe you should include more scantily clad hot women in your ad copy.

Just a suggestion...

I've had that happen twice recently. Was actually thinking of using SaranWrap next time I go to the range on a cloudy day. Sun has been out recently, but have not been able to go shoot. It is tough having to work for a living...

I need those today. Was headed out to the range, and the rains set in. I am beginning to think someone up there is against me.   It has been beautifully clear for the past two week...first day I could go shoot and the rain comes in. Just like the last time, last 2 out of three.
Ah, but I am thankful, we need the rain.
