I'm currently loading 300wby with h1000 and 200gr Accubond,  I'd like to compare it with another powder, either r22 or 7828.  Does any one have any experience with these powder/bullet combos.  I don't want to buy both powders, because this is the only caliber I'd use this burning rate in. Thanks!

RL22 is faster than IMR7828.  A comparable powder would be RL25.  I use a lot of RL22 which works better for me than H1000 or IMR7828 in 300 win mags but lately I've been comparing accuracy and velocity and switching more and more to the RL25.  My favorite load now in my personal 300 win mag is 76 gr RL25.

Definitely use the Fed 215 primer though.

i have used all three powders just not in the 300win, r-25 would be a better choice than r-22 if you wanna level playing field. r-19 and r-22 are excellent with 180gr bullets. im shooting imr7828 h-1000 in and r-19 and r-22 in my .264 6.5rem and .280rem so far the h-1000 and the r-22 have given me the best results

I have been shooting the 200 gr Accubond.  Excellent accuracy, high ballistic coefficient and it shoots exceptionally well at long distance.  It is in a class by itself.

However, it is difficult to get much over 2900 fps with the 200 gr bullet.  With a 180 gr I can reach 3150 fps by pushing the envelope.  I can't figure out why the 300 win mag has that 250 fps difference with 20 more grains of bullet weight.  But, 2900 fps with a 200 gr bullet that has a ballistic coefficient of .588 holds up better and even surpasses most 180 gr bullets at the longer ranges.

Been thinking about the 180 gr TTSX though.  Roll%20Eyes

If I were going to shoot the 165 gr bullet then I would try IMR4350.  Fine powder just like IMR4831.  Faster than IMR4831 and will build to max quickly.

I would go with R25 but r22 should be to far behind it.
