I'm in the market for a scope for my M70 Featherweight Deluxe 30.06.  The Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9X40 costs $255 and the Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40 costs $400.  Would you pay the extra to get the Zeiss?  Thanks in advance.

Hard to beat the elite for the price. I have one and it is a great scope. The rainhaird is a really nice feature.

Can't beat the Bushnell Elites for value.

Have a look at the 2.5-10x40 instead of the 3-9x40.

If you are going to hunt with it then I can tell you from experience that the Rainguard really makes a difference.  I really like Zeiss but my hunting rifles get Bushnell.

I have both scopes....... and unless buying the Zeiss means you can't pay your bills - get the Zeiss!  You'll appreciate the extra eye relief on that light weight '06 and the reticle is great in low light!

If I had $400 I would buy the Zeiss......if I had no money I would steal a scope from Bigdaddy's house......

I really like the Zeiss and think it will serve you well, but I also think the 4200 is one hell of a deal.  Either scope should provide all the optics you need for for 95% of all hunting situations.

Really nice rifle, and it will be an especially classy rig with the Conquest and Talleys on top!
