Which quick detach rings are the best in a medium height for a steel picatinny or weaver rail? I have a Super Sniper scope in mind and I also have a Falcon variable scope too.

If your rail is picatinny and not a Weaver, try the Burris low rings with the Super Sniper.

I just ordered what you said but i ordered medium high rings. I wanted to go with Night Force base and a set of Badger Ordnance rings but I gotta buy low and work my way up.

Are you going with the SS or the Falcon variable?

I'm gonna try both. But probably will put the SS on my new Howa. Might try the Falcon on my AR-15 flattop.

I'd still HIGHLY recommend using LOW Burris rings with the SS.
The mediums won't give you as good a cheek weld as the lows.
Maybe you have a cheek piece?

The stock has a adjustable cheek pad. I'm totaly new to this sh*t. I've always been a shotgun and pistol shooter.

Mr friends owns a rifle range on his farm where we can shoot a little over 1,200 yards. He shoots a 338 laupa. He recommend a Leupold Mark scope and Night Force Base with Badger Ordnance rings.  That 2 times more than I gave for the gun. I gotta ease my way into this sport. Bonus time don't come till September.

You'll be fine, I'm sure. Sounds like your well on your way.

The nice thing about the SS is if or when your ready to replace it with another scope, you can get damn near 100% of the original purchase price back.
