Hello
I just got me a nice gun, but i have a problem.

Here is the update which bumbs me out a bit.
I went to the range 2 days ago and tried to zero the Nikon in at 50yards, before moving to 100, and found out i could not zero because I was out of vertical wind age, (shooting 2-3 inches low @ 50). I just check and the New Nikon Encore has only 40MOA adjustment.
The 40MOA is the lowest amount I seen in hand guns and it seems to be limiting my zeroing. The other Nikon handgun scopes are run 120MOA, and Leupold are running 86MOA, 60MOA, & 100MOA, for 2x, 4x, & 2.5-8x, respectively.

I was wondering if putting a medium mount on it would make much of a different, currently I am running highs, and switching to medium's would drop the scope 3.81 mm closer to the gun. I can't do lows.

I was hoping for some advice, do you think medium would help?
Or maybe I could shim a medium?
Thanks
  Brian

Raising or lowering the rings will do nothing you need to add plus minute of angle and this is the way to do it without any major headache.

Actually, I went to the range again today and I think it is ok I am right at the top of wind age at 50 and in my first BCD recital bubble at 100.
Plus my 50 I think would break the plastic in the Burris signature off after 100 shots.
This gun is pushing 30 to 45fpe in the recoil alone, this rips threads out, and kills mounts if there not really tough.
I saw a video on Youtube were the scope broke of a 454 and hit the guy in the face, cut up his eye bad, but I can not see to find it for you.  Here are some other videos showning you the recoil I am close too.

Thanks again for the info I may use this on my other rifles though.
