I just got me a nice gun, but i have a problem.
Here is the update which bumbs me out a bit.
I went to the range 2 days ago and tried to zero the Nikon in at 50yards, before moving to 100, and found out i could not zero because I was out of vertical wind age, (shooting 2-3 inches low @ 50). I just check and the New Nikon Encore has only 40MOA adjustment.
The 40MOA is the lowest amount I seen in hand guns and it seems to be limiting my zeroing. The other Nikon handgun scopes are run 120MOA, and Leupold are running 86MOA, 60MOA, & 100MOA, for 2x, 4x, & 2.5-8x, respectively.
I was wondering if putting a medium mount on it would make much of a different, currently I am running highs, and switching to medium's would drop the scope 3.81 mm closer to the gun. I can't do lows.
I was hoping for some advice, do you think medium would help?
Or maybe I could shim a medium?
