I was wondering if some of you guys who own a Burris Fullfield II could check this for me.

If you put the rifle in a vise, or on a bipod, or something else to hold it still and wiggle the eye piece of the scope up and down does it appear that the crosshairs move up and down? The eyepiece should feel tight, but just wondered if it moved just a hair and made the crosshairs look like they are moving up and down. Obviously it's not the crosshairs moving, but the glass in the eye piece and it's making it look like the crosshairs are. I just wondered if this was normal and if others did this.

Mine doesn't either. Only movement I saw was when my head moved if I pulled too hard and that was only because I was looking at the door frame ten feet away so the paralax was wrong.

Hmm, not sure what's going on then. The new FFII 4.5-14 is doing this, and after checking my older 3-9 it does the same thing. From looking at the design I just am not even sure how they could get it tight enough to not do it since it doesn't have a lock ring.

Burris claims they are sending me a call tag for UPS to pick up the new FFII so I can send it in. I've not seen it yet though, so I'm not sure when they will come pick it up. I guess I will see what they have to say about it when they get it.

So I sent this in and got it back today. I thought I was going to like Burris's customer service unlike all of the complaints, but now I'm not so sure. I felt like they were fairly fast after reading lots of complaints of it taking people months to get their scope back. It only took about 2 weeks or 2.5 weeks from when they received this scope for them to get it back to me. Took about 2 weeks for them to fix it, and about half a week for it to get back to me. Not too shabby. Upon unpacking it I mounted it to my rifle, only to see the issue with the eye piece wiggle is still there. I have a feeling this isn't fixable with this scope, but they didn't do anything at all about it. I think it's just this design where it doesn't have a lock ring to be able to lock it down, but I could be wrong. I called Burris to talk to them about it again and explained that they'd told me to send it in for it, and that I got it back with the same issue. The guy I talked to told me that this is an issue they get a bunch of calls about and that all of them are going to do it to some degree. He said at this point he'd be glad to replace it with a new scope, but that's all he could do. He told me to ship it back. He didn't mention sending a shipping label this time, but I told him I was going to shoot it and see how it did this time first. Well, as I was checking it out I notice it's now got a big black piece of something inside of the scope. Not sure if it's dirt, or what. Almost like just a black dot on the inside of it. When I noticed this it was after they had closed for the day. So I'm going to call Monday I guess to see if they will send me a shipping label so I can send this back and just get a replacement. I wish I'd just returned it back to SWFA for my money back when I could have.

So I guess I will see how Burris CS is this time around. I will post back when I have more of an update.
