Ok guys, I have one rifle with a 20 moa base, I recently purchased a minox 4-20x50 to put on it, and the scope reads extremely low for impact on my bore sight. I had to crank the elevation all the way to the top and I am still 4" low on my bore sight. Should this scope go back to minox for repair? Just to clarify some things, the turret definitely isn't marked backwards and yes I know that low is in the upper half of the bore sight picture.

Is there a chance the bore sighter is off?

How much internal elevation does the Minox have?  Have you cranked through the entire elevation range, top to bottom?

RC, I would like to say their is, this minox is suposed to have 80moa, I set the elevation to the middle and the last scope I had on this rifle was WAY low on the bore sight, this one is WAY high when set to the middle. My turret still makes 2 full rotations after it tops out. I know this is common with 1" tubes, but the whole thing is I would never expect my elevation to top out with a 20 moa base.

FIrst and foremost, the bore sighter might be the problem rather than the scope.  Have you tried bore sighting by eyeball?

If, on the range, the elevation turret is fully used up, then there is a problem and the scope needs to go home.  But the problem might be the bore sighter.

What kind of bore sighter are you using?

It is a bsa that has always worked on my other rifles. But I know that means nothing, maybe I should try good ole target at 25 yards?

I would absolutely not shoot a target at 25yds with your elevation maxed out with a 20MOA base. You could be as much as 60MOA high. Half of the 80MOA that the scope has plus the 20MOA base.

I have never had any success using a bore sight. And I have seen rifles that were bore sighted that were off by over a foot and a half at 25yds.

I would take the bolt out and look down the bore at your target and then adjust the scope to match what is in the center of the bore when you look through it. I prefer to do this at the 50yd mark.

Ok, it's definitely the scope, question is, will minox honor the warranty on a scope purchased on the sample list?

So you were still low when looking through the bore and then the scope?

Yes, I was also low on the bore sight at the indoor range down the road, I did get it to zero on the bore sight at the range with the elevation maxed out and thumping the elevation turret.... /cry. I tried mounting it with a zero moa base and man it was freaking sad, wouldn't get in the same zip code. I've had scopes that wouldn't hold zero, but never anything like this, this scope is a dirt shooter.

And now I can't get the minox product registration page to work.

Yeah they do, I will be calling them this morning, my problem is on their web site for registration when I go to put in my date of purchase, it says wrong format. I also have a problem that I use at&t internet and it will not work with their site for some reason.

while calling them probably addressed the situation as needed, the wrong format issue you were getting was probably related to web page design. I know a lot of web pages are designed to only accept one type of date ie... 12 Sep 2013 as opposed to 09-12-2013 or some other variant. Also it is not AT&T internet that is not compatible with the website it would be either your browser or your browser settings. Sometimes changing browsers is the fastest and easiest way to fix those problems.
Give me a shot, I won't disappoint!

Yes, I spoke to Greg Clark with Minox, the site literally says to put it in as mm.dd.yyyy, but the correct format is dd.mm.yyyy. Greg told me that the later is the standard format used in Europe, the tech changed the website to tell you the American format, but the programing was never changed. Good news is that they are more than happy to fix my problem.

I also understand that it Isn't at&t, the problem gwen something to do with my router I believe. I can connect to my phone internet and it will go to the web site on the same browser just fine.
