Hello!
First of all, I know my topic is 100% OFF-topic.. but I cant really seem to find an answer anywhere else, and this forum is related to "optics" which I searched for in google.
This is  a short queston, I hope someone can help me, and then you can delete this thread. (Or delete it right away, I know I am at the wrong place...)

So I am building an escape room (more info in wiki - real life escape rooms)
and I basically want to use polarizing lenses to hide a message.
I would have a photo frame with a message in it and 2 layers of polarizing lenses on top of each other.
I have been given to understand that by twisting the upper lense you can make the glass impossible to see though or vice verca if you twist the upper lense the other way.
This effect is shown in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5GqoV9wVh4

My question is this. Since I am a beginner in field of optics, what kind of lenses should I buy to make my idea possible? (I am also on a pretty strict budget, could you please also write down the average price?)

My apologies for being off-topic again!
Thank you.

These are called polarizing filters, not polarizing lenses.

Buy two identical linear polarizers and position them orthogonally to each other.  If you do not get fairly nice polarizers, the image may not be entirely extinguished, so you may need a third polarizing filter but not necessarily.

Go to Edmund Optics website and search for linear polarizers.

The cheapest would probably to get some polarizing film and mount it on two pieces of glass.

This is a good strt:
