Warne's claim to fame is "re-zero".  I use them on all my rifles and they really do work.

Leupold quick release rings and bases have worked great on several of my rifles.  They have held zero time after time after being dismounted and remounted for cleaning or traveling.  They have been bounced around in airplanes, helicopters, and sleds on U.S. and overseas hunting trips without any problems.  I like 'em!

Can't help you on the other brands, because I've had no reason to try them.  Others on this site (like Ring Master) will give you some good information based on their own experiences, though.

EAW mounts are number 1, but the downside is the price.

I cast another vote for the Leupold QR mounts. I have them on several rifles and my Knight muzzleloader and they are real strong and return to zero with amazing accuracy. I travel with the rifles that have the QR's and remove my scopes to disappoint the baggage handlers. Great way to have a back-up scope for the ready as well.

Leupold QR Base and rings on two rifles without any problems.

Beretta Mato 30-06 with Swarovski 3 - 12 x 50MM PH with QR bases and rings, returns to zero. I have taken this scope off the rifle 7 or 8 times and it shoots like it was Never Taken Off.

Knight Disc Rifle 50 Caliber with 3 - 9 x 40MM Nikon Monarch with QR base and rings, I have taken this scope off to clean the rifle about 20 times and it shoots like it was never taken off.

Well worth the money IMO.

I just mounted a Nikon scope on my Heym SR-30 .270 using EAW mount. It has returned to zero every time - I tried
doing this several times after range-firing and it works v. nicely. Only problem was that I hadn't tightened up the rings
enough and the recoil moved the scope backwards a bit. Tightening the rings solved that problemm

In my experience, Talley and Warne QR rings both return to zero equally as well as the other, which is pretty good, provided your mount bases remain tight.  Haven't tried the Leupold QR rings & bases to comment, but have heard good things about their ability to return to zero as well.  However, I would never remove and remount any QR rings, no matter how good quality they are, without rechecking my zero afterward.  For the sake of my own peace of mind and confidence when taking a shot at a game animal, I simply don't trust any mechanical device when it comes to something as critical as my rifle's zero.

The Warne Rings work very well as do the Leupold QRW's. (made by Warne) I have had the opportunity to use more Warne rings than most people ever see. I have removed the optics and reinstalled them a number of times, but I have never been dumb enough to trust them. I always check the zero. Sometimes they are dead nuts, sometimes a little off.

I have the Leupold QR on a Sako 300H&H, using a Leupold 8,5-25x50 scope. I have only removed them once. They did not return to zero but was about an inch high at 100 metres.

Leupold QR's are Leupold's own design and are in house made, however, with the captive dovetail on most Sako rifles, one would expect a pretty fair re-zero.

The QRW's are the Warne made rings....... Quick Release Weaver base rings.

Some day before I am too old, I would love to see South Africa and do a little hunting. At this point, it looks like old age is in winning.

Ring Master, maybe you will make it to South Africa! The country is still beautifull with very nice hunting opportunities. We as hunters are just a little bit concerned about the long term future, with our new gunlaws and land re-distibution programmes.

And if you do not make it to South Africa soon, there is allways a little dream to hold on to!
